The next day in Oakland, at a Summer Sixteen show, Drake also responded to Cudi’s comments. He said, “Boy you gettin’ way too high, you need to cud-it,” in his best O.T. Genasis’ voice.
However, it seems like that wasn’t all the Toronto rapper had to say about the Lonely Stoner. On his new “Two Birds, One Stone” track, Drake revisited the Cudi incident from a month prior, and delivered a few shots, even referring to Cudi’s 2009 album “Man on the Moon”:
“My numbers are out of the world, no wonder they got me feeling so alienated/You were the man on the moon, now you go through your phases/Life of the angry and famous/Rap like i know I’m the greats and give you the tropical flavors/Still never been on hiatus/You stay xan and perked up so when reality set in you don’t gotta face it.”
